International Sailing Regatta flagged off in the Colombo Seas


The International Sailing Regatta organized by the Sri Lanka Navy was held in the seas off Colombo. The international Regatta is one of the many events held in view of the Sri Lanka Navy’s 60th anniversary. Renowned sailors and sailing enthusiasts from countries of participating Navies and individual competitors from local clubs took part in the races conducted under GP 14 and Enterprise Class.

The sailing boats showed off their maneuvers in a keen contest for the honours on offer. Chief of the Staff of the Navy Rear Admiral DWAS Dissanayake, Commander Western Naval Area Rear Admiral Dhamayantha Darmasiriwardene, Naval personnel of the Western Naval Command and well-wishers were present on the occasion.
